Missions
Missions Around the World
South Texarkana encourages church members to contribute to the support of
global missions through the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship, the Baptist
State Convention of Arkansas and the Southern Baptist Convention.
Missions Education
Learning about missions begins with preschoolers and continues through
all ages.
“Throw-Away” Items for Missions
The Mission Group fosters the collection of items we often
throw away to be used for mission activities.
Used Postage Stamps
Stamps can be sold to raise money to help feed hungry people at home
and abroad. The following US stamps are sought:
Commemorative stamps
pre– 1920’s stamps and postcards
express mail stamps
wildlife series
state birds and flowers
state flags
all international / foreign stamps
all unused stamps
Leave at least 1/8 inch margin when cutting or tearing stamps from the
envelope. Stamps are sent to
Koinonia Partners, Americus, GA and bought
by stamp collectors.
Campbell’s Soup Labels
These labels can be used to secure free educational equipment for
schools. Save only the front portion of the labels from soup, juice and
bean cans. These are sent to area schools in Texarkana.
General Mills Cereal Box Tops
Have you noted “Box tops– Education” on the top of cereals by General
Mills? All of us use cereal, and the General Mills box tops will aid our
children. Tear or cut them off the box.
Small Plastic Medicine Bottles
These are given to Area Homeless Shelters for use in preparing
smaller bottles of shampoo for clients. Most everyone receives medicine
in this size bottle with an easy removable top. Remove the labels.
