evangelism and to help spread evangelism to the unsaved, Brother
Travis has taught many laymen the art of introducing people to his
Savior, Jesus Christ. He has encouraged people of every season,
every moment of the day to be ready to witness. He believes the main
reason Christians are left on earth, after their conversion, is to
win the lost for Christ.
Brother Travis is also a published
author, with his most recent book, " Plucking Them from the Fire."
- His book is the result of 25 years
development. Brother Travis has almost finished the book in 1976,
but was not completely satisfied with it. After much prayer, he was
challenged to talk to other soul winners to learn what method they
were using to introduce people to Jesus while spreading some years
in contemplation, the idea for this book became a greater burden on
his heart in 1999.After having seen small attendance in many
churches, and the very small number of conversions in the church,
along with the worsening condition of America. Brother Travis was
convicted in his heart of the great need for God's people to turning
back to an old fashioned but successful method of reaching men for
Jesus, thereby, "Plucking Them From The Fire by using God's Roadmap
for introducing the lost to Jesus.
- He is married to Joanne Payne and
